Submit one Request Form for each Blackboard (or D2L) Course Site you need. A Blackboard (or D2L) course site can serve one or more course sections. If you are teaching multiple sections of a course and want students from all sections to be enrolled in the same Blackboard (or D2L) Course Site, submit one Request Form. If you prefer separate Blackboard (or D2L) Course Sites for each section, submit a separate Request Form for each section.

When the Blackboard (or D2L) Course Site you are requesting will be used for multiple sections of a course, for cross-listed courses, or for different courses, please list ALL Subject-Course Nmbr-Sections below. ACCURATE SECTION INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT. If you are unsure of any of the required information please see the printed course schedule or BenU Live, or check with your Administrative Assistant.

Springfield Faculty - If your course is offered as both a BU course and an SCI course please enter BU information here and SCI informaton in the CROSS LISTINGS section below.

The Course Site will be created as soon as the Request Form is submitted. The Start Date is used to scehdule students enrollments and should be the date of the first class meeting.

Students are enrolled approximately one week before the Start Date. If your course requires earlier student enrollments (because pre-assignments must be accessible, for example) enter the date by which students should be enrolled.

Desire2Learn (D2L)
This option is for faculty who attend the D2L Overview workshop before the summer term.


Create a D2L site

Choose this option for courses you will BUILD IN D2L and USE WITH YOUR STUDENTS during the Summer 2011 term.

Moser On-Ground Faculty:
Please check if this is the first D2L class for the cohort you are teaching so we know to enroll students into their Lounge.

 
Blackboard
Lisle, Naperville and Springfield Campuses
These options are appropriate for faculty teaching in programs from any campus.


Reuse an existing Course Site.

Choose this option if you have a link to the course site on your My Blackboard page, and you would like to use the existing content for the course you are requesting. The course will be reset, if necessary, at the end of the current term. That is, all student specific data, including names, grades, discussion postings, quizzes, homework submissions, etc. will be removed. Students will then be added for the upcoming term. The title will be adjusted to reflect the upcoming Section, if necessary.


Create a new Course Site.

The first time you enter the new Course Site you will be given the option of either creating a blank Site, or creating the course as a copy of one of your existing Sites.
Blackboard
Naperville and Springfield/Peoria Campuses
This choice is appropriate for faculty teaching in the MED program and for Moser College Undergraduate Business Cohort programs.


Create the course site as a copy of the Master for this course.

Some programs maintain a master copy of sites for courses that are offered frequently and taught by many different instructors. Choose this option if you are requesting a copy of such a master.

 
Blackboard
Springfield Campus
These choices are appropriate for faculty teaching from the Springfield Campus.


Copy the SC-BU Template Course Site.


Copy the SC-BU SafeAssign Only Template Course Site.
