During FY 2011, Benedictine University alumni, friends, faculty and staff made gifts of all sizes to support the University’s mission of providing quality education, programs and facilities to its students. This extraordinary amount of support ensures that Benedictine students, faculty and staff have the resources available to ensure that they can learn, teach, create and discover with excellence and innovation. Through this support, careers develop and evolve and the University community witnesses the growth of future leaders. Benedictine University is extremely grateful for each and every gift received.

2,001 constituents made gifts to the University; The number of individual gifts made to the University increased nearly 2.8% over the previous year, while the number of givers decreased by 2.6% over the previous fiscal year. 

In a year marked by continued uneven economic recovery, the University received $5,744,296.12 in gifts of cash, cash equivalents and realized estate gifts, an increase  76.2% over the previous year.   

The 2,001 contributors who made gifts during FY 2011 included 1,050 alumni; 762 non-alumni; and 189 businesses, foundations and other organizations.  More than 150 Benedictine faculty and staff contributed gifts.

Contributors directed their gifts to programs and projects campus-wide, including 33.3% to the Benedictine Annual Fund, 12.54% to Restricted Projects, 9.73% to Endowed Scholarships and 14.17% to Capital Gifts.
